Russian AgMin returns to grain export forecast at 40 mln tonnes
MOSCOW. Dec 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Agriculture Ministry returned to a grain export forecast of 40 million tonnes this agriculture year (July 2016-June 2017).
"The country harvested 119 million tonnes of grain, a new historic record for Russia, the export potential of grain rose to 40 million tonnes," Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev said during a New Year's address.
Earlier the Agriculture Ministry forecast exports at 35 million-40 million tonnes. However, in November of this year, it was left at a figure of 35 million tonnes.
