Kyiv reports 72 shell attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, six soldiers injured
KYIV. Jan 8 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian military positions in Donbas have been shelled 72 times in the past 24 hours, the military operation's press center said.
Six Ukrainian servicemen have been injured, according to the report.
Towards Mariupol, 122-millimeter artillery was fired against Vodiane, mortars of varying caliber against Maryinka, Pavlopil, Shyrokyne and Talakivka, according to the military headquarters. Ukrainian positions near these populated areas, as well Krasnohorivka, Hnutove and Starohnativka were also attacked with grenades, large-caliber machineguns and small arms.
Towards Luhansk, mortars of varying caliber were fired at Ukrainian troops in Novooleksandrivka, grenades and smalls arms at the positions in Lobacheve, Novooleksandrivka, Krymske, Stanytsia Luhanska and Novozvanivka.
Towards Donetsk, 82-millimeter mortars and infantry fighting vehicle cannons were fired at the positions in Troitske, grenades and smalls at the positions in Pisky, Avdiivka, Maiorske, Novoluhanske and Luhanske.
