ISIL recruiter apprehended in Kuban
KRASNODAR. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Criminal charges have been brought against a resident of the Krasnodar territory who was systematically posting material of the Caucasus Emirate and ISIL terrorist organizations (banned in Russia) on social networks, the public relations group of the Federal Security Service's Krasnodar territorial department told Interfax on Friday.
"A resident of the Krasnodar territory born in 1998 has been detained for administering a terrorist-minded group in the Vkontakte social network, advocating and excusing terrorism, and conducting recruitment. The suspect is in custody," a department spokesman said.
The suspect is charged with public appeals supporting or excusing terrorism.
His address has not been disclosed for reasons of investigative privilege.
