Russian track and field athlete Lebedeva stripped of two 2008 Olympic silver medals due to doping

MOSCOW. Jan 25 (Interfax) - The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has withdrawn two silver medals from Russian long jumper Tatiana Lebedeva after retesting her doping samples from the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the IOC spokesperson said.

"Re-analysis of Lebedeva's samples from Beijing 2008 resulted in a positive test for the prohibited substance dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (turinabol)" and the silver medals "obtained in the women's triple jump event and the women's long jump event" must therefore be returned, the IOC said in a statement.
