Rostec aims for 11.9% annual revenue growth at aircraft cluster to 2025

MOSCOW. Feb 7 (Interfax) - The revenue of Rostec's aircraft industry cluster should grow to about 1.5 trillion rubles by 2025, and the Ansat and Mi-38 helicopters will soon enter the international market, the Russian state corporation's press service said.

"Rostec's management board has approved a development strategy for the corporation's aviation cluster to 2025. The key target of the strategy is average annual revenue growth at the cluster's holdings of 11.9% to 2025. In monetary terms, the cluster's revenue should exceed 1.5 trillion rubles by 2025," Rostec's press service told Interfax.

The cluster will aim to maintain and grow its presence in the world's helicopter industry by launching the Ansat, Ka-226T, Ka-62 and Mi-38 helicopters on the international market, according to the strategy. There are also plans to develop new models of helicopters.

"In the global helicopter industry, the cluster will strive to increase its market share by shipping components abroad for industry leaders and increasing shipments for the projects of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC)," Rostec said.

A Rostec employee said the cluster has been instructed to take its products into promising markets, including India and China.

"A world-class system of post-sale servicing will be built for helicopters and airplanes that will make it possible to increase revenue from post-sale servicing by more than 150% by creating a single window for clients and switching to life cycle management for the cluster's products," Rostec said.

Utilization of plant capacity will be increased significantly by 2025, the press service said, citing the cluster's industrial director Anatoly Serdyukov.

"In order to increase operating efficiency, utilization of capacity will be increased from 55% to 80% by 2025 by creating a capacity exchange, which will make it possible to optimize overhead and investment in maintaining and expanding production facilities," Serdyukov said.

Rostec's aviation cluster includes enterprises that manufacture and develop engines, helicopters, components and avionics.
