'Normandy format' ministerial meeting may take place on G20 meeting sidelines on Feb 17 - Ukrainian foreign minister

KYIV. Feb 9 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is considering different options for a 'Normandy format' meeting, including the possibility of holding it on the sidelines of a G20 meeting of foreign ministers on February 17, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said.

"We are currently holding consultations with our German and French friends on how to organize the meeting. This could possibly be a meeting at the level of foreign ministers. Several options are under consideration now, one of them being [a meeting on] February 17, on the sidelines of the G20 summit," Klimkin said in Kyiv on Thursday.

Klimkin also said that he would speak to German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel within the next few hours.

"And we will then formally decide [on the meeting date]. We are working on the meeting, but what counts most is the result," he said.
