Turkey, Russia, Iran draft Astana-2 documents to be coordinated by guarantor-countries, signed at plenary meetings - source
ASTANA. Feb 16 (Interfax) - The guarantor-countries of the Syria peace process, i.e. Russia, Iran, and Turkey, have drafted a number of final documents for the ongoing intra-Syrian talks in Astana; the documents are due to be signed on Thursday, a source in one of the guarantor-countries' delegations told Interfax.
"A number of drafts have been prepared. They are due to be coordinated between Turkey, Russia and Iran. There are plans to complete the work on these documents at the plenary meeting [on Thursday]. They may also be signed there," the source said.
"These are a series of drafts which have been discussed since the first meeting held on January 23, including at a technical meeting last week," he said.
"Some of them are still being coordinated," he said.
