Putin doesn't share advisor Glazyev's remark on Steinmeier - Peskov
MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin does not share his advisor Sergei Glazyev's opinion about new German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"The president does not share [the advisor's opinion] in any way," Peskov told reporters on Friday.
"As you know, the president congratulated his colleague and sent him a very cordial congratulatory telegram. In this case, tweets of the sort are nothing but a personal opinion, and a rather disputable one," Peskov said.
Glazyev said earlier on Twitter in commenting on Steinmeier's election as German president: "The German parliament has elected president an accomplice to the Nazi putsch in Kyiv who promoted this neo-Nazi regime's legitimization."
