MOSCOW. Feb 20 (Interfax) - The airline Pobeda made around 19 billion rubles in revenue and 3 billion in net profit in 2016, a source close to the company told Interfax.

An official Pobeda representative declined to comment on the company's financial results on the grounds that they have not been publicly disclosed.

Pobeda CEO Andrei Kalmykov forecast that the company would have revenues of around 20 billion rubles in 2016 in an interview with Interfax in November 2016. The airline's net profit would be "much more than 2 billion rubles," the CEO said.

Pobeda served 3.09 million passengers in 2015 and broke even ahead of schedule with a small net profit of around 40 million rubles. Pobeda carried over 4.3 million passengers in 2016, a 38.7% growth.
