Baku puts 3 European Parliament members who visited Karabakh on intl wanted list

BAKU. Feb 22 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan has put three members of the European Parliament, Frank Engel (Luxembourg), Eleni Theocharus (Cyprus) and Jaromir Stetina (Czech Republic), on an international wanted list for participation in monitoring of the referendum in Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office said.

"A criminal case against the members of the European Parliament was initiated under the relevant articles of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code for repeated illegal visits to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, in particular, on suspicion of an illegal visit to Karabakh for the purpose of participation in the 'referendum' as 'observers' on February 20," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
