Baku reports repelling attack on Azeri positions in Karabakh
BAKU. Feb 27 (Interfax) - Units of the Azeri Armed Forces have curbed attempts made by the Armenian military to advance on their positions, the Azeri Defense Ministry press service said.
"The Armenian armed forces' units continue taking actions to fuel tensions along the entire frontline. The Armenian side again tried to commit an act of provocation in the direction of the village of Talis. Due to vigilance of our units deployed on the frontline, the enemy's attempts to come closer to the Azeri Armed Forces' positions were resolutely curbed," the report said.
The enemy suffered losses in the clash and had to retreat, the report said.
"There are no casualties among the Azeri Armed Forces personnel," the Defense Ministry said.
Interfax has yet to obtain comments on the incident from the Armenian side.
