LPR promises not to fire workers of enterprises going under external management

LUHANSK. Feb 27 (Interfax) - A headquarters has been created in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) for control over the transition of enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction under external management, Vladimir Degtyarenko, chairman of the LPR People's Council, said.

"A headquarters has been created to supervise the process of enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction going under external management, which, besides me, also includes representatives of trade unions, leaders of the public movement Peace to Luhansk Land and associations of trade unions, representatives of professional unions and deputies," Degtyarenko said in a statement posted on the website of the LPR People's Council.

Degtyarenko said that "employees at all enterprises under external management will keep their positions, they will be provided comprehensive support both by the management and by the unions."

"Speaking about our task, the created headquarters has no intention of keeping the enterprises 'afloat', but [intends to] promote their further development and re-orient them towards Russia. The unavoidability of this process has always been obvious to residents of Donbas, and the political helplessness of Kyiv only sped up this irreversible process," the statement said.
