Russian military provides humanitarian aid to over 3,000 people in Syria in past day - center for reconciliation
HMEIMIM. March 3 (Interfax) - The Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria carried out eight humanitarian missions in Syria's Aleppo, Al-Suwayda and Latakia provinces in the past day.
"A total of 0.94 tonnes of bread, 500 hot meals, 400 food rations and six tonnes of bottled drinking water were distributed among civilians in the city of Aleppo (the Jirbin temporary accommodation center for civilians, the neighborhoods of Khananu, Al-Bayada and Sheikh Maqsoud, as well as schools in the Ashrafiyeh and Al-Akramiya neighborhoods) and the populated locality of Rasas in the Al-Suwayda province," the center said in a report seen by Interfax on Friday.
Sixty gift and toy sets, as well as school supplies were provided to children of the Massay Hairiyah orphanage in the city of Latakia, it said.
Over the past day, 3,200 Syrian residents received humanitarian aid, which amounted to a total of ten tonnes, the Russian center said.
