Russian Investigative Committee to use own channels in probing ex-Duma deputy Voronenkov murder in Kyiv - Klintsevich

MOSCOW. March 23 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee will work on investigating the killing of former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov, first deputy head of the Federation Council defense and security committee Frants Klintsevich said.

"The Russian Investigative Committee will work on this issue, using its capabilities and channels. I have no doubts about that," Klintsevich said in an interview with Rossiya 24 (VGTRK) television.

"I think relevant instructions have been given by Investigative Committee officials," he said.

Russia, for its part, will also give its assessment to the Ukrainian investigation into this case, he said.

Klintsevich offered his condolences to Voronenkov's widow Maria Maksakova.
