Peskov: there is information that underage participants in illegal rally in Moscow were promised money for being detained

MOSCOW. March 27 (Interfax) - There is information that underage participants in the protest rally held in Moscow last Sunday were promised financial compensation if they were detained by police, Russian presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov said.

"There is information that underage participants in the protest in Moscow were promised financial rewards in the event of their detention by police," Peskov told reporters on Monday.

"There is some confirmation of that," he said.

If the law enforcement agencies find it necessary, "some confirmation of that will probably be provided," he said.

Peskov said that in this case he cites facts and, if the law enforcement agencies find it necessary, "it can be made public."
