Five killed in attacks on DPR over past week - Donetsk
DONETSK. March 31 (Interfax) - Five people have been killed and four others suffered injuries in Ukrainian government forces' attacks on the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) over the past week, Eduard Basurin of the DPR Defense Ministry said.
"The enemy breached the truce 471 times over the past week, and 5,417 shells and mines were fired on the republic from weapons banned by the Minsk Agreements," Basurin said at a press briefing on Friday.
Twenty-six populated localities have come under attack in the DPR over the week, and 74 houses have sustained damage or destruction, he said.
"Artillery of the 72nd Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces killed three civilians and injured another one in Donetsk. The DPR troops have lost two people, and three more servicemen have been wounded over the week," he said.
