Kazakhstan's industrial prices up 6.2% in Jan-March
ALMATY. April 4 (Interfax) - Prices for industrial products and services in Kazakhstan increased by 6.2% in January-March 2017, the Statistics Department of the Ministry of National Economy said.
In March, industrial products and services decreased 0.5%.
From the beginning of 2017, prices for industrial products rose 6.4% and prices for industrial services 4.4%.
Prices for products in the manufacturing sector went up 2.1% and in the mining sector rose 10.1% in January-March.
Over three months, prices for metal ores increased by 14.8%, oil by 10.7%, natural gas by 5.5%, coal by 4.6%, gasoline 4.2%, diesel fuel 4.6%, and propane and butane decreased 1.6%.
The prices for ferroalloys were also up 10.6%, rolled ferrous metals increased 3.3%, zinc 3.7% and copper 0.8% were also up. Precious metals went down 2.5% and aluminum by 0.6%
In January-March, there was an increase for the following food products: dairy products and tea by 5%, meat by 4.8%, rice by 2.3%, bread by 1.3%, rye flour and margarine by 0.8%, while a 5.8% decrease was reported for cereals, 5.4% for sugar, 3.4% for fish and flour each and 1.5% for vegetable oil.
