CHISINAU. April 6 (Interfax) - Moldovan President Igor Dodon said on Facebook on Thursday that he sent a message of greeting to President Vladimir Putin on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

"It is pleasant to note the positive dynamics in Moldovan-Russian ties during this period as well as mutual support on major issues of joint activities. This gives confidence in the prospects of the continuation of the multifaceted dialogue between Moldova and Russia for the benefit of our countries and nations," the message posted by Dodon in Facebook says.

He singled out Russia's role in the process of Transdniestrian settlement, voicing hope that "in the future we will be given the necessary support in resolving the problem and establishing lasting peace in our region."
