VTB Kazakhstan trims board of directors to seven people
ALMATY. April 7 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's subsidiary of VTB Bank has downsized the board of directors to seven people, the bank said on Tuesday.
VTB Bank, the sole shareholder of VTB Bank (Kazakhstan) terminated the authority of board director Anna Shumeiko at her own request on April 3, 2017. Shumeiko joined the board in November 2016.
The term of office for the new board of directors expires on February 26, 2018.
The current board of directors chaired by Mikhail Oseevsky has three members: Bairam Valiyev, Sergey Stepanov, Ilnar Shaimardanov and three independent directors: Kanat Dosmukametov, Dosym Kadyrbaev and Slava Sizova.
In 2016, VTB Kazakhstan was ranked 21st by assets among the 34 second-tier banks operating in Kazakhstan, according to the National Bank.
