Russia, U.S. will soon start to form dialogue mechanisms for normalizing relations - Lavrov
MOSCOW. April 13 (Interfax) - Moscow and Washington will soon start to implement agreements on creating bilateral mechanisms to discuss key problems and stabilize relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a press conference.
"Such agreements were achieved. And now we will probably start to form the dialogue mechanisms in practice, something that is important in its own right," he said.
"It is always better to speak to each other [directly] than make remarks through the microphone and tell each other what we think without looking each other in the eye," he said.
"The process [of normalizing relations] is not rapid, but if what we have agreed upon from a methodological standpoint starts to be put into practice, it will be useful," Lavrov said.
