Grenade brought to computer club in Dagestan by adult, not child - authorities

ROSTOV-ON-DON. April 24 (Interfax) - According to a provisional theory, a young man, aged 20, had brought a grenade into the computer club in Dagestan, where it exploded, Ramazan Dzhafarov, the republic's deputy prime minister, told Interfax.

"According to a provisional theory, a young man, aged 20, rather than a schoolchild, as it was reported earlier, had brought the grenade to the computer club. Presumably, he is the son of the owner of the building, where the computer club is located. He took it away from one of the children," he said.

The theory of an unintentional grenade blast is still under consideration, he said.

"Law enforcement officials believe that the blast had occurred accidentally," Dzhafarov said.
