Court didn't order former top Vneshprombank officials to pay 113.5 bln rubles in DIA suit
MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Moscow's Khamovnichesky District Court did not order former Vneshprombank head Larisa Markus and her former deputy Yekaterina Glushakova to pay a total of 113.5 billion rubles in the lawsuit filed by the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), an Interfax correspondent reported from the courthouse on Friday.
"The defendants fully admitted the claim. [...] The court recognizes the right of the aggrieved party to have the civil lawsuit granted, but the amount recovered has to be determined in civil proceedings," Judge Marina Syrova said in the sentence she read on Friday.
Thus, whether or not the defendants will pay the requested money will be decided in a different, civil proceeding.
The value of the lawsuit was 113.526 billion rubles.
