Forest fires raging across 137 hectares in Buryatia
ULAN-UDE. May 15 (Interfax) - Four forest fires were raging across 137 hectares in Russia's internal republic of Buryatia on Monday morning, the republic's forestry agency told Interfax.
"There are two fires across approximately 17 hectares in the Mukhorshibirsky and Severo-Baykalsky districts. Two more fires have been contained on about 120 hectares in the Dzhida and Severo-Baikalsky districts," the agency said.
Four fires have been extinguished across nearly 40 hectares in the Zaigrayevo, Ivolginsky and Muysky districts over the past 24 hours, it said.
