DPR insists on monitoring major hazard facilities located near contact line in Donbas

MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Denis Pushilin, the envoy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) to the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine, has called for an inspection of major hazard facilities located in Donbas, Victoria Talakina, the spokesperson for Pushilin, said.

"Denish Pushilin has insisted on the need of inspections of major hazard facilities located in the immediate vicinity of the contact line and posing a potential threat not only to Donbas, but also to the neighboring regions and countries," Talakina said on Facebook.

Pushilin provided an example of the Kostiantynivskyi Chemical Plant, she said. At present, the plant poses a threat due to tonnes of hydrochloric and sulfuric acids stored there.

The DPR representatives called on the participants in the Contact Group to facilitate holding a joint monitoring of hazardous production facilities posing threat to the territory controlled by Ukraine, Talakina said.
