Russian emergencies minister comes to Krasnoyarsk territory to oversee wildfire aftermath cleanup
KRASNOYARSK. May 25 (Interfax) - Russian Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov has arrived in the Krasnoyarsk territory to oversee efforts to clean up the aftermath of forest fires in the region and provide assistance to those affected by the fires, the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's press service said.
"Acting on the Russian president's instruction, Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov heading a taskforce has arrived in the Krasnoyarsk territory in order to coordinate cleanup efforts in the wake of major fires and measures to provide comprehensive assistance to those affected on the spot," the press service said.
Puchkov has boarded an aircraft at Krasnoyarsk's airport to inspect the districts hit the hardest by wildfires from the air.
