Israeli Embassy in Moscow rated as country's best diplomatic mission

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - The Israeli Embassy in Russia has been rated as the best Israeli foreign diplomatic mission in 2016, the Embassy spokesperson Alex Kagalsky told Interfax.

"The decision was made late last week based on the 2016 results," Kagalsky said.

"The year was very intense, given the prime minister's two visits to Russia, a visit by the president, by Prime Minister Medvedev to Israel. In addition, the diplomatic relations between Russia and Israel have turned 25. This was marked by a whole host of events, in particular an exhibition took place at Manezh, which was inaugurated by the prime minister [Benjamin Netanyahu]," Kagalsky said.

Also, a number of bilateral visits were held, he said. The Israeli diplomatic mission in Moscow in 2016 was led by Ambassador Zvi Heifetz, the spokesman said.
