MinFin expecting to receive 50% of Rosneftegaz total dividends

ST. PETERSBURG. June 2 (Interfax) - The state holding Rosneftegaz will have to transfer 50% of dividends to the budget it received from Gazprom , Rosneft and Inter RAO and to use retained profit from earlier years, Russia's Finance Ministry said.

Interfax sources reported earlier that Rosneftegaz, which paid 717 billion rubles into the budget in 2016, including proceeds from the privatization of Rosneft shares and 24.6 billion rubles in interim dividends for the first nine months of 2016, will not pay final annual dividends for 2016 because it posted a loss. Rosneftegaz said in its statement that payments to the budget after the deal in December to sell 19.5% of Rosneft amounted de-facto to annual dividends.

Russia's Finance Ministry had expected that Rosneftegaz would transfer all 100% of dividends to the budget in 2017 which it received on shares it owns in Rosneftegaz. Now, according to Russian Finance Minsiter Anton Siluanov, the ministry has lowered the amount, but is still insisting that Rosneftegaz pay half.
