Police detaining participants in unpermitted protest in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG. June 12 (Interfax) - Police have started detaining participants in an unauthorized demonstration in Field of Mars Park (Marsovo Pole) in the center of St. Petersburg, witnesses said.

Police are using loudspeakers to warn the people that they should finish their demonstration to avoid being held administratively liable and to remind them that a demonstration cleared with the authorities is taking place in Udelny Park.
