Medvedev pledges state support for automotive component makers
GORKI. June 19 (Interfax) - Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev assured automotive component manufacturers that they can count on receiving state support under the appropriate programs.
Speaking at a meeting with the deputy prime ministers on Monday, Medvedev pointed to recently signed documents that, among other things, increase support measures for the automotive and engineering industries.
"We are altering the profile rules for allocating money from the federal budget, expanding the circle of companies eligible to receive this money. We include there component manufacturers," he said.
In other words, manufacturers will be able to lower their costs to transport assemblies and components, he said.
"In addition, existing support for automakers with a high degree of localization, from 20% to 80%, may be increased," he said.
