Kursk NPP generates 17% more power in H1
VORONEZH. July 4 (Interfax) - The Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) generated 14.791 billion kWh of electrical power in the first six months of this year, 16.6% more than in H1 2016, the NPP's press service said.
Output was up 0.4% in June to 2.058 billion kWh.
Since launch in 1976, Kursk NPP has produced over 873 billion kWh of electricity.
The Kursk NPP is now operating generating units #1 and 3 at established capacity and #2 is undergoing mid-level repairs and #4 - major repairs.
The Kursk NPP is the biggest electricity producer in the Central Black Earth region, with four RBMK generating units boasting overall capacity of 4,000 mWt.
