President's special representative Sergei Ivanov to again chair Rostelecom board

MOSCOW. July 7 (Interfax) - Sergei Ivanov, the Russian president's special representative for nature protection, environmental and transport matters has been elected chairman of the board of directors at Rostelecom , the operator said in a statement.

Ivanov has served on the Rostelecom board since 2015 when he was elected chairman. He will chair the Rostelecom board for a third successive year.

Rostelecom shareholders elected a new board of directors at the annual shareholders meeting on June 19. New board members include company CEO Mikhail Oseyevsky as well as VTB Capital CEO Alexei Yakovitsky. Former Rostelecom President Sergei Kalugin was also re-elected to the board but as Deputy Communications Minister.

In addition, Sergei Ivanov was re-elected to the board as well as CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev; first deputy head of Vnesheconombank (VEB) Mikhail Poluboyarinov; ex-head of Svyazinvest Vadim Semenov; President of Otkritie Bank Ruben Aganbegyan; first deputy general director of GTK Russia TV channel Anton Zlatopolsky; Gazprombank Vice President Alexander Pchelintsev and the dean of the Department of Economics at Moscow State University Alexander Auzan.
