Miratorg boosts pork production 1% to 155,000 tonnes in H1

BELGOROD. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Russian agribusiness holding Miratorg produced 154,900 tonnes of pork in January-June 2017, 1% more than in the same period last year, the company said in a press release.

"The pork unit produced 189,600 tonnes of pork live weight for slaughter in the first half. SK Korocha, the largest meat processing plant in Russia, processes over 3 million head of pigs a year and has been operating at full capacity," Miratorg said.

The live weight pork production in H1 2017 was 0.3% higher than 189,000 tonnes in H1 2016.

Miratorg, established in 1995, is one of the leading operators on the Russian food market. The companies in the holding provide full-cycle production "from the field to the counter" in 15 Russian regions.
