Rosselkhoznadzor bans meat imports from two Brazilian enterprises
MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Russia is banning meat imports from two enterprises in Brazil, which supplies poultry meat to Russia, due to violations of veterinary-sanitary requirements, Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) said.
The ban against the first enterprise, Rio Branco Alimentos S/A (N926), takes effect on August 11 and applies to poultry meat. The restriction was imposed because product from the enterprise was found to contain salmonella.
The ban on the other, Ad'Oro S/A (N SIF 414), takes effect on August 22 and applies to chicken byproducts intended for pet food production. Product from the enterprise was found to contain enteropathogenic types of E.coli and was also found to be otherwise toxic.
