Armenian, Azerbaijani foreign ministers to hold Sept meeting on Karabakh in New York City
YEREVAN. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will meet in New York City in the second half of September.
"The next meeting between the foreign ministers will take place in New York City in the second half of September. The meeting's agenda includes ways to promote the negotiating process [on Nagorno-Karabakh]. There is no alternative to negotiations," Nalbandian told journalists after the inauguration ceremony of a new Chinese embassy building in Yerevan.
"There is nothing specific" regarding a possible meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents, he said.
The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group proposed arranging a meeting on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement process between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents before the end of 2017.
The Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers met previously in Brussels on July 11.
