Putin offers condolences to Egyptian counterpart on railway incident
MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on tragic consequences of the railway incident near Alexandria, the Kremlin press service said.
"In his telegram, the Russian president conveyed words of compassion to the families and loved ones of the deceased and wishes of a speedy recovery to all those injured in this incident," it said.
A major railway incident occurred in the vicinity of Alexandria on August 11. According to recent information, over 40 people were killed and more than 120 injured in the collision of two trains.
