First nuclear research centers in Bolivia could open in 2019 if contract is signed - Lavrov
MOSCOW. Aug 16 (Interfax) - The signing of a general contract between Rosatom and Bolivia in the very near future will allow the first nuclear research centers to be opened there in 2019, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"With regard to the nuclear research center, we already have a contract for preliminary work, signed between Rosatom and its partners in Bolivia. This work is now underway and consultations, over a general contract, will continue very soon, literally this month. And there is every chance of it being signed in September, which will enable us to introduce the center's first facilities in 2019, as is the Bolivian wish," Lavrov said at a briefing after talks with his Bolivian counterpart.
