Eastern Military District troops participating in anti-terrorist drill at Vostochny cosmodrome
BLAGOVESHCHENSK. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Anti-terrorist teams of the Eastern Military District's combined-arms army have been employed for the first time for interdepartmental drills at the Vostochny cosmodrome in the Amur region.
"In addition to Eastern Military District units, the exercises involve personnel from security agencies, the police, the Emergency Situations Ministry, federal special communication agencies, the Russian National Guard, the Center for Operation of Ground-based Space Infrastructure Facilities, and the Amur regional government," the Eastern military district said in a statement.
In all, about 400 employees of executive agencies and 60 vehicles are participating in the drills.
