Large Russian delegation led by Medvedev expected to attend September's intl forum in Yerevan

BOCHAROV RUCHEI, Sochi. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Armenia is expecting Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to visit it this fall, the country's president Serzh Sargsyan said.

"Our trade and economic relations have been developing intensely, last year we had a 15% growth in our trade, and almost 24% over the six-month period," Sargsyan said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He noted the continual interaction between the two countries' governments and parliaments. "Inter-regional cooperation is constantly developing, as is our cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. All this, of course, is being facilitated by regular high-level visits," Sargsyan said.

He recalled the visit to Armenia by Russia's Duma speaker, security council secretary, as well as his and the Armenian prime minister's visits to Russia. "This fall we are expecting [to welcome] in Armenia the Russian prime minister, foreign minister, Minister Manturov [the Russian minister of industry and commerce] as part of a large delegation of entrepreneurs and state administrators in the framework of the second international forum of Eurasian cooperation," the Armenian president said.
