Korean Peninsula events fraught with irreparable consequences for entire world - State Duma
MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - The Korean Peninsula is sitting on a time bomb, which is a source of concern, State Duma Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Leonid Slutsky told reporters on Tuesday.
"The ongoing launches of ballistic missiles by North Korea on one hand and Western provocations against the Pyongyang leadership on the other hand are fraught with irreparable consequences for the international community as a whole," Slutsky said.
The latest missile launch in the direction of Japan may require additional hearings at the UN Security Council "although every possible resolution or sanction has already been put into place," he said.
