Acting Kaliningrad Governor Alikhanov declared victorious with over 81% of vote

KALININGRAD. Sept 11 (Interfax) - The gubernatorial election in the Kaliningrad region has been won by acting Governor Anton Alikhanov, a spokesman for the regional elections commission told Interfax.

"United Russia candidate Anton Alikhanov gained 81.06% of the vote after votes had been counted at all polling stations. Communist Party candidate Igor Revin got 8.89%, the Liberal Democratic Party's Yevgeny Mishin - 5.47%, and Yekaterina Timofeyeva of the Greens Russian Ecological Party - 2.53%," the spokesman said.
