Acting Buryatia Head Tsydenov wins election

ULAN-UDE. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Acting Buryatia Head and United Russia member Alexei Tsydenov has won the Sunday election with 87.43% of the vote, the republican elections commission said in a tentative report posted on its website after 100% of votes had been counted.

Tsydenov's rivals - Communists of Russia candidate Batodalai Bagdayev and the Liberal Democratic Party's Sergei Dorosh - gained 5.5% and 4.39% of the vote, respectively.

The voter turnout stood at 41.6%.
