Roscosmos Deputy CEO Vlasov leaves company for health reasons, Vaganov appointed acting deputy CEO
MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Nikolai Vaganov, the director of the rocket and space industry department at the Roscosmos state corporation, has been appointed acting deputy CEO of Roscosmos instead of Yury Vlasov, who has stepped down due to a dramatic health decline, Roscosmos said in a statement.
"Yury Vlasov, a deputy CEO of Roscosmos for rocket and space industry, is leaving the state corporation due to a dramatic decline in his health," it said.
Roscosmos Rocket and Space Industry Department Director Vaganov has been appointed acting deputy CEO for rocket and space industry, it said.
Vlasov was appointed deputy CEO of Roscosmos in 2015. In 2014-2015, he served as deputy CEO for projects and programs and acting CEO of the United Rocket and Space Corporation.
Vaganov was appointed director of the rocket and space industry department at Roscosmos in 2016. He served as an adviser to the United Rocket and Space Corporation CEO in 2015-2016.
