Russia to analyze UNSG's idea for Ban Ki-moon to help settle N. Korea problem - Peskov
MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Moscow will study UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres's proposal that former Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon be engaged in settling the situation surrounding the North Korean nuclear program, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"We need to find out details, discuss details. So far it's impossible to say definitively," Peskov told journalists on Wednesday when asked whether Russia would support the idea of involving Ban in the efforts to settle the North Korea issue.
The media had reported earlier that Guterres planned to get in touch with Ban Ki-moon and ask for his advice and assistance in settling the situation surrounding North Korea.
