Ukraine raises issue of return to previous disengagement line in Minsk - Kuchma's spokesperson
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian side has put up the issue of return to the disengagement line set by the 19 September, 2014 Memorandum while discussing the issues of ensuring security in the region at a meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) for the settlement of the situation in Donbas.
"In accordance with this document Debaltseve should be under Ukraine's control; security zones should be established along the Ukrainian-Russian border section outside Ukraine's control, and an area free of heavy weaponry and military hardware should be in the south of the Donetsk region, that is, Kalmiusske (former Komsomolske], Kumachove, Novoazovsk, Sakhanka," Darka Olifer, a spokesperson for second Ukrainian President, Ukrainian envoy for the TCG Leonid Kuchma, wrote on Wednesday evening.
