Kazakhstan drafts code to achieve terrorism-free world - Foreign Ministry

ASTANA. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan has begun working on a code of conduct to achieve a world free from terrorism, Kazakh Foreign Minister Kairat Abdrakhmanov said at a debate in the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

"Kazakhstan supported the creation of the UN Counter-Terrorism Directorate and began working on a code of conduct to achieve a world free from terrorism," Abdrakhmanov was quoted as saying in a statement released by the Foreign Ministry's press service on Friday.

The minister also said Kazakhstan has recently provided $300,000 for the implementation of the Global UN Counter-Terrorism Strategy in Central Asia.
