Baku insists on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement only as part of Azerbaijan's integrity
BAKU. Oct 4 (Interfax) - Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict may be settled only within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said.
"Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict may be settled only within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, sovereignty and its borders recognized at international level," Mammadyarov said at a meeting with a delegation of the European Union Council Political and Security Committee, which comprises EU ambassadors accredited in Brussels, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry press service reported.
As to development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU, the minister informed the delegation about the talks on the draft Agreement on Strategic Partnership between Baku and the EU.
"The agreement on strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Union will make it possible to create important framework for comprehensive cooperation between the parties in political, economic, trade, energy, humanitarian and other domains," Mammadyarov said.
