Russia, Saudi Arabia drafting agreement on promotion, mutual protection of investment
MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Moscow and Riyadh are working on an agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investment, which will draw Saudi investors to Russia, according to materials posted before the Friday meeting between Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
"Seeking to lay a legal foundation for attracting Saudi investment to the Russian economy, the governments of Russia and the Kingdom are working on an agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investment," the materials said.
Saudi Arabia is considering 11 more drafts of bilateral documents pertaining to transport, education, the protection of classified information, justice, and the suppression of drugs and crime, the materials said.
