Agriculture watchdog to ban pork imports from Serbian firm from October 10
MOSCOW. Oct 9 (Interfax) - Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor will ban the import of pork and other pork products from a Serbian firm from October 10.
The regulator said that the ban applies to Agro-Papuk (N542) due to the discovery of listeria in pork lard produced by them.
Products delivered before October 10 will be subject to tightened laboratory checks.
There are currently 13 Serbian enterprises with the right to export pork goods to Russia, two of which have been banned for violations of veterinary regulations.
