FSB stops activity of Hizb-ut-Tahrir cell in Crimea's Bakhchisarai
SIMFEROPOL. Oct 11 (Interfax) - The Federal Security Service (FSB) has stopped the activity of a cell of the Hizb-ut-Tahrir international terrorist organization, which is banned in Russia, in Crimea's Bakhchisarai, the FSB department in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol said in a statement on Wednesday.
"The investigative division of the FSB department in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has brought criminal charges against six members of the cell under Parts 1 and 2, Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code (organizing and participating in the activity of a terrorist organization)," the statement said.
Investigative procedures are underway.
