Hevel may boost capacity at solar stations to over 900 MW before year-end

ASTRAKHAN. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Hevel Group, a joint venture between Renova and Rusnano, may increase capacity of the solar power stations it manages to just under 1 gigawatt before the end of 2017, General Director Igor Shakhrai told reporters.

"Together with partners, the volume of the overall portfolio of the participants in our company may total 914 megawatts. This is actually over double our base volume: 434 MW. We are working on the legal component of consolidating this portfolio. Speaking of dates, optimistically before the end of the year we will concentrate this volume," Shakhrai said in Astrakhan on Wednesday after the signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between the company and the regional administration.

Hevel includes a photoelectric module manufacturing division in Novocheboksarsk, Chuvashia and developer division for the design and construction of solar power stations (with a portfolio of projects totaling more than 434 MW in the next few years), as well as an R&D center in St. Petersburg.
